Tim and Rosanna Marshall opened Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory in June of 2008 with the dream of giving talented, young performers a place to learn and cultivate their abilities.
Kellie Lewis Artistic Director
Kellie Lewis has trained in the arts of dance and theater for over twenty years. She has taught ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, hip hop, modern, and musical theater at many local studios including Lana's school of Dance, Dance Arts Center, Center Stage, and now Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory. She has danced, choreographed and/ or directed numerous productions including Children of Eden, Westside Story, Aladin Jr., Fiddler on the Roof Jr., and numerous showcases, recitals, and local and national competitions. In 2007 she began the annual Kellie Lewis Choreography Workshop and Competition, which teaches young dancers the elements of choreography and stage craft.
Katie Marshall Artistic Director
Ballet/Pointe, Jazz , Tap and Zumba Instructor
As an award winning dancer and choreographer both locally and nationally, Katie's passion for the arts is seen in her performances through Dance, Theater, and Music. She has had the privilege of private training with such reputable coaches as Elizabeth Lende, Kevin Franchini, Kellie Lewis, Lili del Castillo, Barbara Barr, Nanette Hale, Jennifer Dodrill, Lyla Mederios and Vitaly & Olga Verterich. Her dance studio training includes Sandra's School of Dance, L&L Moving Arts, Lana's School of Dance, Dance Arts Center, and Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory (MPAC). Katie has been honored to perform with Opera Southwest, NMSO, Albuquerque Little Theater, Lende Youth Theater, MPAC, Cathy Roe's Dance Spectacular and Fashion Show and to compete with Dance Arts Company, MPAC Company and Albuquerque Figure Skating Club. She teaches ballet/pointe, jazz, and tap, and specializes in coaching for performance and competition with an emphasis on stage presence. Her goal as a teacher and choreographer is to bring the out best of all students' talents and abilities and to further their understanding of the creative process.

Michelle has been training in dance and gymnastics for over 20 years. Competing in both for several years and receiving state and national titles. Her love for teaching began 10 years ago when she started teaching gymnastics at a local gym. She has taught gymnastics, ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and lyrical at several local studios, and has choreographed for many recitals, showcases, and local competitions. She is also teaching for a youth outreach program called Youth Empowerment Through Dance, which is sponsored by The Native Health Initiative. In 2011 she became the Artistic Director of the Marshall Performing Arts Company. She also became a licensed Zumba instructor and has taught at many facilities around town as well as in Jemez Pueblo

"Shuga" Shane Montoya Break Dance & Hip Hop Instructor
Shane Montoya was born in Gallup, New Mexico. At the age of 13, Shane began his hip-hop career in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1999, Shane was a founding member of the U.H.F. Crew (United Hip-Hop Family), which performs, teaches, and competes Internationally. Shane has won various competitions around the nation. He toured Europe in winter of 2011, sharing the knowledge he's gained and plans to return in the future. He is also a member of the Chief Rockers Performing Arts Crew, which is comprised of members from Native Tribes across the country.
Stephany Perea Belly Dance Instructor and Director of
Serendipity Belly Dance
As a child Stephany performed and competed with multiple award winning drill teams. She began belly dancing in 2003 and has enjoyed it ever since! In 2010, she created Serendipity with a vision of inspiring creativity and exploring the limits of self expression. You can see her perform at Pars Cuisine, where she is a favorite house dancer.

Marta Lichlyter Modern Instructor
As a freelance dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Ms. Lichlyter has taught modern and jazz dance at Colorado State University, Western Michigan University, Texas Christian University and UNM. She has performed professionally with the Pulse Dance Experience, a modern/jazz dance company in Colorado, with Tim Wengerd and Company, a Graham based company, and was a founding member of the aLANDdance Performance Company, a multi-disciplinary company incorporating poetry, dance, music and film. Her choreographic works have been presented throughout the United States, Norway, and the Netherlands. She teaches modern dance at Keshet Dance Company and Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory. Marta Lichlyter holds a Ph.D. in Dance and Related Arts as well as a Masters in Choreography and Dance Education.
Georgia Maez Ballet Instructor
Georgia is an Albuquerque native. In 1972 she began her ballet training at Krasnoff School of Ballet under the guidance of Madame Vera Moraveck from 1975 to 1990. She taught ballet and danced with Albuquerque Ballet Co., New Mexico Ballet Co. under Suzanne Johnston, and Ballet Theatre of New Mexico. She has danced in many roles including Nutcracker, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Snow Queen, Paquita, Les Sylphides, and many others. She's been a teacher for 27 years. Georgia has been involved with choreographing and staging numerous ballets during her years in dance.
Jennifer Shiplet Dodrill Ballet & Jazz Instructor
has danced for over 30 years, having taught dance in four states for 21 of those. she danced locally in over 15 productions with New Mexico Ballet Co. and Albuquerque Civic Light Opera Association. During college, Jennifer performed at MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. She later trained and performed with a jazz company, Wats On Dance and two modern companies, Malashock and Eric Hawkins.
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and furthered her dance education with graduate studies at the University of Arizona. She owned and directed Dance Arts Center and Dance Arts Company in Albuquerque for four years. Jennifer is trained in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, east Indian, African, and Pilates. She currently teaches special education for students with autism for Albuquerque Public Schools, but follows her passion for the art of dance.

Kevin Gallacher Boy's Ballet, Tap, Acrobatics, and Ballet Fitness Instructor
Kevin started tap dancing at age sixteen and continued his education of classical ballet with Park Avenue Dance Works in Colorado, Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and Moving People Dance Santa Fe (MPD). His studies also include contemporary ballet, jazz, modern, swing, hip-hop, break-dancing, and gymnastics. He has studied and worked with Gail Gilbert, Sam Watson, Jock Soto, Suzanne Quinn, Dudley Davis, Michael Vernon, Layla Amis, Arturo Fernandez, and Valeria Madonia. He has been a principal dancer for Park Avenue Dance Works, Moving People Too!, MPD, NMBC and was a company member of Moving People Dance Santa Fe for seven years. He has also performed with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, Circus Luminous, and three seasons with The Santa Fe Opera. He recently returned from touring the East Coast, performing in The Carnival of Wonders, working with choreographer Peggy Hickey, and artistic director Joanie Spina.
Maura Talley Ballet & Tap Instructor
Maura Talley, 18, is an Albuquerque native and currently a student at the Public Academy for Performing Arts. She began her dance training at Lana’s School of Dance and has continued her training in all dance forms at Dance Arts Center, Marshall Performing Arts, Dance Theatre of the Southwest, and The New Mexico Ballet Company. Maura has won numerous awards for her performances, choreography, top honors at many regional and national competitions, also being named Miss Senior Ultimate Dance. She performed her second year with Cathy Roe’s National Producer’s Dream Company this summer. Maura’s other performances have included Moscow Ballet’s The Nutcracker, a festival benefitting the UNMH Burn Unit, Petrushka with David Chavez and the NMSO, Disneyland Parades, White Christmas with ALT, and many Tap Jams.
Mariah Martinez Glee Club, Wee Actors and Jazz Instructor
I started my dance training when I was four with Fishback's Studio of the Dance and came over to MPAC in high school. Since then I have studied not only ballet, but also tap, jazz, hip hop, and modern. I've also had the chance to be a competitive dancer for a couple years with MPAC.
I have been in various choirs since third grade. I have been trained in musical theater, classical, a capella, and (my favorite) barbershop singing. I was dance captain of my high school show choir, The Continentals. I am a founder of Albuquerque's a capella girl's chorus, OnQ and a current section leader. I have been a counselor at New Mexico's Youth Harmony Camp for two years and attended a total of six years. I have also been in several plays and musicals over the years. I am a seasonal employee for Walt Disney World Entertainment. I have performed in shows along with working with top of the line choreographers from the company.

Jonathan Ragsdale Hip Hop and Broadway Instructor
Jonathan graduated from UNM with a degree in Musical Theater, and has been an avid performer dance and theatre in the the Albuquerque community. Jonathan began his journey as a martial artist, training for 4 years in traditional and contemporary wushu. Soon after, he discovered his love for theatre and hip hop dance. Although he began dancing at the late age of 18, Jonathan has been taking class and teaching non-stop and is trained in hip hop, jazz, broadway, contemporary, lyrical, tap and ballet. He also teaches musical theatre for children with The Growing Stage and PLAY Conservatory educational programs. As a professional actor, he can be seen in featured roles on the TV series' Breaking Bad and In Plain Sight. On stage, some of his memorable roles have included Rumtumtugger (CATS), Link Larkin (HAIRSPRAY), Pippin (PIPPIN), and many more.
