        Tim and Rosanna Marshall opened Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory in June of 2008 with the dream of giving talented, young performers a place to learn and cultivate their abilities.

        Kellie Lewis
        Artistic Director
        Kellie Lewis has trained in the arts of dance and theater for over twenty years.  She has taught ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, hip hop, modern, and musical theater at many local studios including Lana's school of Dance, Dance Arts Center, Center Stage, and now Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory.  She has danced, choreographed and/ or directed numerous productions including Children of Eden, Westside Story, Aladin Jr., Fiddler on the Roof Jr., and numerous showcases, recitals, and local and national competitions.  In 2007 she began the annual Kellie Lewis Choreography Workshop and Competition, which teaches young dancers the elements of choreography and stage craft.

        An award winning dancer and choreographer both locally and nationally, Katie's love of dance is seen in her performances through dance, theater and music.  She is currently the Assistant Artistic Directory for the MPAC Company.

        Lyla Medeiros
        Ballet Instructor
        Lyla Medeiros was trained by Valentina Kozlova (Bolshoi Ballet) and is a graduate of Valentina Kozlova’s Dance Conservatory of New York. Lyla also trained with Diana White and Roma Sosenko (NYCB) and Christian Classens (Dutch National Ballet). Lyla was a teaching apprentice to Valentina Kozlova for 6 yrs and was on faculty at VKDCNY from 2003 to 2008. In addition, Lyla holds a B.A. in Dance Studies from the State University of New York - Empire State College. Lyla specializes in teaching Vaganova based classical ballet technique. She is available for private technique lessons as well as performance and competition coaching for classical and contemporary ballet.

        Maura Talley
        Dance Instructor
        Maura Talley is an Albuquerque native and is currently a student at the Public Academy for Performing Arts. At age two she began her dance training at Lana’s School of Dance and has continued her training in all forms of dance at Dance Arts Center, Marshall Performing Arts, Dance Theatre Southwest, & the New Mexico Ballet Company (NMBC). Maura has danced with Lana’s Young Performers, Dance Arts Company & MPAC Company for a total of seven years. She has been a company member with NMBC for five years, now performing Soloists roles. Maura has won numerous awards for her performances, choreography and top honors at many regional and national competitions, with this year winning Miss Senior Ultimate Dance and performing her second year with Cathy Roe’s Dance Spectacular Dance Company. Maura’s past performances have included Moscow Ballet’s Nutcracker, Petruchka with David Chavez & the NMSO, Disneyland Parades, White Christmas with ALT, Firebird with Festival Ballet Albuquerque. Also with NMBC, Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, Dracula & many Tap Jams. Maura enjoys teaching dance and is looking forward to her third year teaching at Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory.

        Marta Lichlyter
        Modern Instructor
        As a freelance dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Ms. Lichlyter has taught modern and jazz dance at Colorado State University, Western Michigan University, Texas Christian University and UNM.  She has performed professionally with the Pulse Dance Experience, a modern/jazz dance company in Colorado, with Tim Wengerd and Company, a Graham based company, and was a founding member of the aLANDdance Performance Company, a multi-disciplinary company incorporating poetry, dance, music and film. Her choreographic works have been presented throughout the United States, Norway, and the Netherlands. She teaches modern dance at Keshet Dance Company and Marshall Performing Arts Conservatory. Marta Lichlyter holds a Ph.D. in Dance and Related Arts as well as a Masters in Choreography and Dance Education.

        Jonathan Ragsdale
        Dance Instructor
        Jonathan studies Musical Theatre and Dance at the University of New Mexico, and is an avid performer of dance and theatre in the the Albuquerque community. Jonathan began his journey as a martial artist, training for 4 years in traditional and contemporary wushu. Soon after, he discovered his love for theatre and hip hop dance. Although he began dancing at the late age of 18, Jonathan has been taking class and teaching non-stop and is trained in hip hop, jazz, broadway, contemporary, lyrical, tap and ballet. He also teaches musical theatre for children with The Growing Stage and PLAY Conservatory educational programs. As a professional actor, he can be seen in featured roles on the TV series' Breaking Bad and In Plain Sight. On stage, some of his memorable roles have included Rumtumtugger (CATS), Link Larkin (HAIRSPRAY), Pippin (PIPPIN), and many more.
